Darlene Whalley is a 42 year old registered nurse, married with 2 children ages 11 and 22. She started seriously training in 2000. Initially joined a gym because of being very overweight. During the process of losing a large amount of weight, she had discovered that she loved lifting and became very interested in bodybuilding. Darlene has competed in her first competition December 2004 – The Heavyweights Classic. Placed first in the woman’s HW division. She also competed in the NLABBA BB and Figure championships as the only Woman’s HW competitor, and the 2005 HWC placing 3rd in the HW division. Most recently Darlene competed in the 2006 Heavyweights Classic and won the HW division and the ladies overall bodybuilding title.
