Damien Smith
It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of a stand up member of our community, Damien Smith. Damien passed away suddenly on his beloved motorcycle on Monday, September 7, 2009 at the age of 29. Damien competed as a novice in the 2005 Heavyweights Classic placing 4th in the Men's Middleweight Bodybuilding Division. Damien loved the sport and was a huge supporter of the events over the years. Damien's love for life, larger than life personality and presence will certainly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his fiancée, Amy, their dog Izzy, their parents, family and friends. Donations in Damien's memory may be made to the SPCA.
The NLABBA will commemorate the memory of Damien at the upcoming Provincial Competition on Saturday, November 21, and will present an award in Damien's honor.
