Contest History

  • 1999 Newfoundland Championships - Junior Overall and 2nd in Middleweights
  • 2005 Heavyweights Classic - 1st in Middleweight & Overall Champion

Born: April 15th, 1979
Birthplace: Labrador City, Labrador
Hometown: Grand Falls-Windsor
Height: 5'9
Offseason Weight: 210 - Contest Weight: 175

I first began to lift weights to help strengthen myself in the pool for competitive swimming. At one point I developed an injury that kept me away from swimming for a number of months. During this time the only thing I could do was lift weights and I liked the way it made my body look and feel. I was amazed at how my body responded to resistance training and eventually my passion for swimming was overshadowed by my passion for bodybuilding. I began to train seriously for bodybuilding in 1995 and continued to make steady progress year by year. Eventually people started to ask me about competing and I decided to give it a shot in April of 1999 where I won the Junior overall title and placed 2nd in the senior middleweight divison (1 point seperating first and second place). Over the next few years I didn't compete to focus more on School and in 2005 the competitve flame was burning again. I decided to focus on the 2005 Heavyweights Classic Bodybuilding and Figure Championships. I began to diet at 13 weeks out and when competition day came I was eager to show the judges the improvements I made since the 1999 competion. I ended up winning the middleweight and overall titles, my little comeback was a success and all the years of hard training and dedication finally paid off.
